That ambitious trait seems to be carried over from its creator, Yang Bing. According to a discussion Bing had with Dualshockers at GDC 2018, he would love to see Lost Soul Aside become a franchise.
Bing responded to a question about Lost Soul Aside and where he sees the IP to go in the future. He hopes it can become a whole series of games, with a second and even third entry to come. Of course that depends on a lot of factors, but given the gameplay we have seen so far, it’s not hard to see the game finding some success.
Lost Soul Aside is an action-RPG with a heavy emphasis on combat, in a style reminiscent of both Final Fantasy XV and Nier Automata, but with a deep story promised to drive the final product. Now that the game is being supported by Sony and being worked on by a team instead of just Bing, we can probably expect to hear more from Lost Soul Aside soon.
